  • The incomparable Lin Snider and Sally Sherwood are kicking off the season with their festive, farcical and fun-filled tribute to holiday madness, Deck the Halls with Lin & Sally, on Thursday 12/3 at 7pm. Here in Guild Hall, we've had the opportunity to hear these comic songbirds rehearsing and you are in for a treat!
  • The Christmas trees are arriving at The Little Church soon!
  • On Monday 12/14, EAG and the Little Church are welcoming another holiday season!  Start with music and reflection at the Lessons and Carol Service in The Little Church at 6pm, then head upstairs to Guild Hall for a cup of good cheer and a festive and fun Holiday Open Mic.
  • A big thank you to all who contributed to the Florence James Children's Holiday Fund!  The donations we received will help to make the holiday brighter for the kids of the actors we serve.

Here it is...the first Eaglet of the new year.

Inside you'll find pictures from our holiday events, an article about the new Actors' Pantry, and moving stories by clients helped by our services.

And of course, there's musings by William Shust and a theatre story from Jerry Vermilye.

Read it online HERE.

On Monday, a nice crowd braved frigid winds and snow to attend a marvelous concert featuring soprano Bernadette Fiorella and pianist Elena Belli. As a plus, over $350 was raised for local actors in financial crisis.

We're thankful to all who came out to see the show. And a special thanks to our volunteers and to Bernadette and Elena for offering us their time and talent.

See all the great events coming to Guild Hall on our Events Page.

no  more  starving  artists!

For over 90 years, EAG has helped New York performers with emergency financial assistance and career support. But now, we aim to feed them as well.

In other words...NO MORE STARVING ARTISTS!

Through The Actors' Pantry, performers who come to us for financial assistance will be able to leave with groceries as well.

But the shelves don't stock themselves. Here's how you can help:
1. Bring non-perishable food items to any event or meeting
2. Donate online here or by mailing a check to EAG, 1 E. 29th St. NYC 10016.
3. Sweet talk your local store into making a donation of food or cash.

This week's radio play productions of It's a Wonderful Life were really, well...wonderful! Great performances by a talented, well-directed cast, backed by a timeless story and a crack sound fx team. Many thanks to the entire cast and crew.

Best of all, the shows raised over $1,400 for New York actors in need.

Lucky for us, photographer Ahron Foster was on hand Monday night to take some great pics. You can enjoy them HERE.

More events are coming your way in 2015. Hope to see you around!

Frank Capra's movie is one of the most well-known films of all time. But if you really want to stand out at this year's Christmas party, plan on being the one who has read the short story on which the film is based.

It's called The Greatest Gift, and you can read it HERE.

And while you at it, come to one of this weekend's radio play productions of It's a Wonderful Life. With live music, sound effects, and a top-shelf cast, the story of George Bailey and the folks of Bedford Falls will come alive like never before. A reception will follow.

Sunday, December 14 at 3 pm & Monday, December 15 at 7 pm

Guild Hall - 1 E. 29th St. - New York, NY 10016

Suggested: $15/20 - Proceeds will benefit local actors in need.

*The box office is closed, but you may purchase tickets at the door.

Last night, with music, reflection, and one wild open-mic, the Guild welcomed another holiday season. It was a wonderful evening, starting with Lessons & Carols in the Little Church, followed by a festive party in Guild Hall.

Thank you to the many volunteers and performers for making this another night to remember.

We're also grateful to photographer Ahron Foster, whose gorgeous pictures from last night can be enjoyed here.
