Artist Afternoons
Career Development & Self-Care Seminars
Most of EAG's programs and services focus on sustaining working performers when financial emergencies arise, but we are also committed to providing continuing career support. Started in 2015, Artist Afternoons provide FREE career development, performance, and self-care seminars and workshops to our clients and the theatre community several times a year. Past topics have included Alexander Technique, Apartment Hunting 101, Tax Tips for Artists, Audition Technique, Nutrition and Self Care on the Road, and Social Media for Actors. We are also able to offer two free Pilates classes and one free yoga class on Zoom every week through this program.
In 2021, under the Artist Afternoon umbrella, EAG created a free support group called The Intentional Artist. The group meets weekly on Zoom and assists our community by teaching techniques to help artists to discover (or recover) self-confidence in harnessing their creative talents and skills and providing a safe space for artists to set their creative intentions and receive accountability and support to achieve their goals.
