The Charitable Programs Endowments receive all future bequests that are not otherwise donor-restricted. These bequests promise to be considerable. They also receive all Memorial and Commemorative Gifts. During the Fiscal Year 2004-2005, about $156,000 was board designated from the General Endowment and was added to the CPE. As of 2008, the CPE fully endows the Thomas Barbour Memorial Scholarships & Awards Program, and it now provides approximately one-third of our annual Emergency Aid & Relief Program budget. Only 5% of the Funds are distributed annually. Dividends exceeding 5% are always applied to their growth. Conservative investment strategies which are less vulnerable to market fluctuations are therefore possible, to provide a reliable source of income for our Charitable Programs.
Administrative costs are presently borne by our General Endowment Fund, a fact that not only makes donations to our Charitable Programs entirely deductible to the full extent allowed by law, but also assures our Guild Members and other donors that their contributions go exclusively and directly to help the beneficiaries of our Charitable Programs.
As Guild members, you and your predecessors, as well as your future colleagues, are quite literally what makes our charitable support of the Performing Arts Community possible. We have been helping members of the “theatrical profession” for over eight decades now, and the Episcopal Actors’ Guild of America, Inc. has earned the respect, admiration and devotion of generations of members of the theatre community, of all religious faiths.
We encourage you to become a Life Member; to join the George Holland Society; to make a Memorial or Commemorative donation to honor a friend, colleague or loved one; and to participate as generously as you can during the Annual Giving Campaign! Make the Guild your favorite charity, and be proud to tell other people about our work. Bring others to the Guild, and encourage your friends to contribute to the Guild.
If you are visiting the Guild website for the first time, please consider sending in a supporting donation and visit us often to learn more about us, and to follow our progress from year to year.
The Guild, and especially all the hundreds of individuals we are able to help truly do deserve your support. The charitable good works you make possible as a Guild Member also deserve your best ideas, efforts and suggestions. Please help us in every way you can!

FUNDRAISING:
It is our goal to raise, from public sources, our entire average annual Emergency Aid & Relief Program budget of $100,000. At least $25,000 is usually raised from our own membership, especially from our Annual Giving Campaign. However, a shortfall continues to burden our General Endowment Fund, which was hard-hit by the stock market recession in 2000-2001. In response, our Charitable Programs Endowments (CPE) were established in 2002 by combining and restricting all bequests received during the past 15 years to the Emergency Aid & Relief Program, and by including the Scholarships Endowment Funds as well.
