GOVERNANCE:
Officers and Council members are elected annually by members of the Guild from among fellow members. They serve voluntarily, without compensation.  The Guild By-Laws mandate that at least twelve Council Members be actors by profession and that at least twelve be Episcopalians.

PRESIDENT:  Must be an actor. Chairs Council meetings and serves on the Executive Committee.

HONORARY PRESIDENTS: Serve ex-officio. They include the Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese, the Bishop of New York, and Presidents Emeriti.

WARDEN OF THE GUILD:   The current Rector of the Church of the Transfiguration. Also serves as a Vice-President and on the Executive Committee.

VICE-PRESIDENTS: Chair Council Meetings in the absence of the President.

TREASURER:  Serves on the Executive Committee, chairs the Finance Committee.

RECORDING SECRETARY: Keeps Minutes for Council and attests to the identity of fiduciary signatories.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:   Appointed by the Warden of the Guild, with the advice and consent of the Council. Only salaried steward of the Guild. Administrator of Charitable Programs, membership, business affairs, and fundraising efforts. Responsible to Council.

THE COUNCIL:  30-member Board of Trustees. Ten Council Members are elected each year to serve three-year terms.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: President, Warden, Treasurer and six Council Members selected by Council, with Chair also designated by Council.


Elections are held during May and June each year.  If you are interested in running for a three-year term on Council, contact the Nominating Committee in April.  You may also run by petition (see By-Laws).
